Retirement: Mrs. A. Stanbrough, who has occupied the position of attendant on the Lady Mayoress of Sydney, is retiring from duty after occupying the office for 23 years. The lady has been a most popular official at the Town Hall. Among those upon whom Mrs. Stanbrough has attended have been Mrs. Burdekin. Lady Manning, Mrs. S. Lees, Mrs. Ives, Lady Harris, Lady Graham, Mrs. T. Hughes, Lady Taylor, and the last to hold the position, Miss Clarke. Mrs. A. Stanbrough, who has retired from the position of attendant on the Lady Mayoress of Sydney, after 23 years' service, received numerous testimonials of appreciation of her services, among them being a pair of silver vases from the Lady Mayoress (Miss Clarke), an elegant easy chair from the clerical staff, and a .silver-mounted bag from the Town Hall attendants' staff. Mrs.- M G P. Sinclair has been appointed to the position .of attendant on the Lady. Mayoress. [ref: The Sun 4 June 1912 p 7]
