Community Services Committee II

Unique IDAG-0058DescriptionSydney City Council and South Sydney Municipal Council were re-amalgamated under
the Local Government (City of Sydney Boundaries) Act, 1981. As a result of this the committees of Council were reorganised.

The Community Services Committee was responsible for management of baths, parks, reserves, lands and public spaces in the City, the City of Sydney Public Library, entertainment, open air sports and recreation, public processions, City decorations, fountains, public lighting, and community services for children and senior citizens.
