The series is controlled by the Deed Packet Register [South Sydney Municipal Council] (AS-0100) in the period 01/08/1968 to 31/12/1981.

The first four pages are a register of Petrol Fill Boxes, in numerical deed packet order.

Pages 5 to 59 are an alphabetical index by the first letter of the alphabet. The index lists the subject (usually a street address), a brief description of the subject and the deed packet number.

Deed Packets relating to the South Sydney area back to 1949, were transferred to South Sydney Municipal Council by the Sydney City Council when the two Councils were split in 1968. This index also refers to these older deed packets, which were top-numbered.
