The Woolloomooloo Redevelopment Sub-Committee was a sub-committee of the City Development Committee. It was formed on 28 July 1975 in response to the 1974/1975 Tripartite Agreement for Urban Expansion and Redevelopment (Woolloomooloo) between Council, the State Government and the Commonwealth Government.

Council was not actually a signatory to this Agreement. The Lord Mayor, Nicholas Shehadie, witnessed the Prime Minister Gough Whitlam's and NSW Premier Tom Lewis' signatures.

The Agreement aimed at redeveloping Woolloomooloo into a primarily residential area. Under the Agreement, Council was to prepare and effect urban design controls for the precinct.

This series contains: a copy of the Agreement; the City Treasurer's report on financial aspects of the Woolloomooloo redevelopment, dated 19 June 1974; Agenda papers for meetings on 7 October 1975, 13 October 1975, 20 October 1975; Minutes of the meeting of 13 October 1975; Copy of the Draft Interim Development Control Plan for the Woolloomooloo Precinct, May 1975; a copy of a plan of the Woolloomooloo Precinct Acquisition Program, September 1974.
