Unique IDAS-0528DateBetween 1st January 1989 and 12th September 2008Date qualifiercircaFormatLoose PapersDescriptionThe Councillors' Information Sheets were produced weekly and contained copies of items considered by the General Manager to be of interest to the Councillors.

The sheets held information from a wide range of sources including Council files, correspondence, newspaper clippings, building certificate applications and committee papers. They also held information on meetings held outside of council such as meetings between local governments.

The sheets were known as Aldermen's Information Sheets until 1993, when the Local Government Act changed the name of the elected members from aldermen to councillors.

From 2000 onwards, the Councillor's Information Service sheets were being produced less frequently as the service was slowly being replaced by a daily bulletin of newspaper clippings circulated electronically through Council's network to all Councillors and staff.
