Unique IDAS-0565DateBetween 1st January 1989 and 31st December 1990Date qualifiercircaFormatLoose PapersDescriptionThis series comprised a printed computer report showing valuation details of all ratable properties in the South Sydney City Council (SSCC) area. Information reported about each property included: street address; land area and dimensions; name and address of the property owner; $ valuation figures. Valuation is normally calculated on unimproved land value.

The valuations were the basis for levying of rates (local property taxes) which were calculated as a percentage of property values.

This series comprised only valuations for 1989. The computer report runs were dated December 1988 and December 1989 and the underlying valuations (by the NSW Valuer General's department) dated from as far back as 1983.

The report was provided to SSCC by the City of Sydney under the cross-servicing arrangements in place 1989-1993, from the Valuation Owner Sales System (VOSS). There were two sets of printouts for 1989, the '208' and '211' sequences, and a single set for 1990.

The whereabouts of SSCC valuations after 1990 is currently unknown.
