Unique IDAS-0709Start dateBetween 22nd November 1972 and 8th March 1988Start date qualifiercircaFormatVolume - HardcoverShort descriptionThis series consists of a register of parking station licenses issued by the City of Sydney Council under Ordinance 34(B) of the Local Government Act from 1972 to 1988.DescriptionThis is a register of annual parking station licenses issued by Council under Ordinance 34(B) of the Local Government Act. This Ordinance required all parking stations within the City of Sydney to be licensed by the Council. This Register begins in November 1972. It would appear that the earlier Register that would have covered parking stations from 1964 to 1971 is no longer extant.

The Register records the following details:
- parking station license file number
- the site
- applicant's name and address
- fee paid
- number of cars
- license fee
- license number
- remarks column

The remarks column records when a site ceased to be used as a parking station, changes of address of the applicants, related file numbers, notes about the basis for levying of fees for a particular station, if there were legal proceedings involving the parking station, if the development application was not approved (therefore the parking station did not proceed), and any other comments.
