Unique IDAY-0053DescriptionCouncil's responsibilities to regulate for orderly use of streets originally encompassed licensing hackney cabs, carters, porters and barrowmen. Cab licensing and related responsibilities were lost in 1873, regulation of porters and barrowmen continued until at least 1933.
