The single volume also contain the minutes of the organisational meeting convened by Lord Mayor Norman Nock on 13 September 1939 to inaugurate the Lord Mayor's Patriotic and War Fund of NSW.
The minutes are pasted into bound volume and record the decisions made on subjects related to providing comforts, equipment and entertainment for sailors,soldiers, airmen, nurses, medical and ambulance services and any other persons. The minutes also provide information about donations, assistance and disbursements, financial reports, correspondence received and action given, reports of various bodies operating within the fund, structural organisation of the executive committee, names of recipients of grants, and others.
