The Committee recommended that Engine Street be resumed and markets be erected, that Quay Street from Ultimo Road be continued through to George Street, that the old wooden markets be demolished on completion of the new scheme, and that the present Vegetable Markets known as the Sir William Manning Market be let for any purpose Council may determine.
