From left to right: At 279 Elizabeth Street is the Tyre Repair and Trading Company selling Goodrich tyres. H E Kirchner grocers is at 277, along with Edmonds Chemist and Jeweller, and John Harris repairing tailor and cleaner. At number 275 Elizabeth Street is a RP Richardson shop fitters business, with signage for Edmonds and Richardson (late of Samuel Lester) metal show case makers and shop fitters. The Hyde Park Bar and GYX Bar managed by W Beecham is at number 273 Elizabeth Street. It has Majestic Theatre posters on the door and signs advertising selling Golden Ale and Stout. At number 271 is G Sharp, the City Hat Specialist, with painted image of a hat on the building. Beside this at 269 Elizabeth Street is terrace house. The surface of Elizabeth Street is being repaired.
