The corner house at number 115 has Newark above the front door and 113 has Glenroy above the front door. Essex Street is to the left. Princes Street continued on from Clarence Street and was resumed for the construction of the Bradfield Highway.
The corner house at 115 Princes Street was the home of Presbyterian minister Reverend John Reid and his wife Marian in the 1850s and 1860s. The Reids were the parents of future Prime Minister George Houstoun Reid. The Reid family moved from Melbourne to Sydney in 1858.
