At the far left is The Practical American Hatter, with signage advertising dryer and cleaner, suits and costumes cleaned and pressed. S Holden fine art dealer and picture restorer, gilder and frame maker is at 122 Phillip Street. On the corner is W Jacksons general store at 98 Hunter Street. The grocery business has signs for custard powder, rexona soap, Conqueror Sauce and Pickles and King Tea. On the notice board is a group portrait and photograph of a man in uniform with a sword. At 104 Hunter Street is Ye Olde Willow Shoppe cake shop on the awning. Workmens wooden barriers and tools are scattered along the footpath.
