The terrace on the left at 211 William is Glenferrie, identified by a name plate, and is a residential chambers run by Mrs E. E. Morrison (see A-00038051). There is a large building that spans numbers 203 to 209 William Street (see A-00038045) which has several commercial businesses and shops. This includes: The St Bernards Home for Working Gentlewomen at 209a; James W Leighton and Son who are portmanteau (trunk and bag) makers and repairers at numbers 207-209; Garvan, Hodges and Brown Federal Cleaners and Pressers are at 205 William Street; and Joseph E Chapman a Bootmaker at 203 William Street. There are people walking on the footpath and entering shops and a man with a broom is standing on the road close to the kerb.
