Sign on front window refers to Electric Cars, Lorries and Accumulators charged at this Garage. Car on the right in Yurong lane is a Rolls Royce, second from right is a Renault, 4th from the right is a Morris Bullnose and the 5th car is a Ford Model T. The building was originally Livery stables belonging to Kidd and Ferguson until 1911 and then became the Central Motor Garage until 1914 and then the Sydney Council Motor Garage from 1915. Yurong Lane was renamed Barnett Lane in 1930.
