There was a full attendance of Civic Reform Party aldermen at the City Council Works Committee last Tuesday, Ald Williams presiding. Labor aldermen also were present. The City Building Surveyor (Mr Rankin) presented a report in response to the resolution of Ald Bradley, KC, at the last meeting of the City Council concerning the Baroda Lane bedrooms. Ald Williams (Chairman) said that as the City Building Surveyor reported that the Baroda Lane bedroom alterations complied with the City Council regulations, there seemed nothing else to do but accept and adopt it. He (Ald Williams) was surprised at the Lord Mayor erecting these buildings opposite the most attractive park in Fitzroy Ward. (Photo) (Kings Cross Times)LanguageEnglish (eng)
