At 96 William Street, a new rear building was recently erected, with a frontage to Robinson Lane. After erection, the City Council officers discovered that the building inadvertently encroached on the footpath by 1?" in at the western end and 1in at the eastern end. The City Council decided that the owner of the building pay a license fee of 2/6d per month for use of the public lands encroached upon.
