Fountains deemed no longer necessary were at Queens Wharf, Hunter Street, Goulburn Street, Liverpool Street, Kent Street & Gas Lane, Argyle & Kent Streets, and at Old Toll Bar. Committee also recommended that the remaining eleven fountains which have wooden cases, be replaced with cast iron.
