Appended: Letter from the Commissioner for Railways, Department of Public Works, with enclosed extract from the Parliamentary Votes and Proceedings being the reply by the Secretary for Public Works to a question by Mr Merriman on the construction of the tramway; Letter from the Commissioner for Railways that in view of Council decision to lay wooden blocks along Harris St, the Government has abandoned the proposal for a tramway along Harris St; Copies of letters of Town Clerk to the Commissioner for Railways and letters from the Commissioner for Railways to Council re Harris St; Scale tracing of Plan of Tramway from Redfern Station to Pyrmont showing Harris St and cross streets from George St West to John St.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
