Appended: Memo from AC Mountain, City Surveyor, listing following sites as suitable: Moore Park (two large conveniences); Moores Road opposite entrances to Towns and Moores Wharfs; Sussex St North at Union Steam Ship Co's boundary with Queensland Steam Ship Co; Engine & Thomas Sts and Ultimo Road (corner); Phillip St north of Alfred St (east side); Elizabeth St opposite Albion St in Belmore Gardens; Castlereagh St South near Devonshire St in Prince Alfred Park; following sites of existing urinals could be adapted for lavatories and WCs: Bourke & Forbes St, Darlinghurst; Reserve, Macquarie Place & Loftus St; Argyle St opposite Cambridge St; Sussex St at foot of Market St; Harris St, corner of Union St; fittings should be of Jennings and Sons patent.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
