Appended: Letter from Wm Houston, Undersecretary, Department of Lands, stating that the lane was laid out at a width of 30 feet in the subdivision of the Crown Estate in 1870 and that Council has charge and control of it; Memo from Richd W Richards, City Surveyor; Letter from Wm Houston, Undersecretary, Department of Lands, forwarding scale tracing; scale tracing showing the lane between Zollner's Factory and Section No 2 at the head of Darling Harbour and Pier, Harbour and Factory Sts, and Zollner's Factory; Memo from Richards re width of lane; Letter from Lands Dept in response to correspondence about encroachment by Goodin & O'Hear on the lane stating the width of lane was 30 feet not 20 feet; Letters from Hughes, Hughes & Digby, (John Hughes, Thomas Hughes and Everard Digby), solicitors, Lyndhurst Chambers, 84 Elizabeth St, for O'Heir & Goodin.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
