Appended: Memo from Edward Bell, City Engineer, submitting a plan and estimate for a jetty suitable for the landing of steamboat passengers as well as those from watermen's boats; use of the stairs by watermen would be free but it might be possible to rent the jetty for steamboat use; in later annotation Bell increases his estimate due to rising labour costs.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
