Appended: Memo from Edward Bell, City Engineer, reporting on the line of fence surveyed by the Government Surveyor and his order to move the pegs to the correct alignment and describing the former route of the carters over a bridge through Mrs Hyland's paddock; he notes the bridge is so dilapidated that its timbers are worthless and the carters are having to detour through private land under protest by the owner and he recommends construction of a new bridge.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
