The Committee considered offers by the lessee, W Taylor, to make repairs to the planking of the wharf in return for a remission of part of his rent. The Committee decided to allow the expenditure of £390 for the replacement of all planking, the work to be carried out by Mr Taylor under the supervision of the City Surveyor and the expenditure to be deducted from the rent.
