Daniel Connor, late Inspector, replies to the Secretary's letter of 16th November dispensing with his services, explaining his absence from work. He was suffering from influenza after days spent in the wet at Chippendale & Newtown, and brandy and laudanum taken medicinally made him appear drunk, he then had to take to his bed.
