James Kelly, Easter Markets Clerk, is asked to respond and enclose Mr Augustus's letters. Mr Augustus wrote two letters, one complaining that others were encroaching on his space and the second requesting floor space apportioned to J J Macfadyen has vacated it. Mr Kelly responds that he told Mr Augustus that he could do nothing about the encroachment but as soon as Mr Macfadyen had given up his floor space, Mr Augustus would have first preference.
