Last Sunday on the wharf of Tasmanian Navigation Co, awaiting the arrival of the vessel, I and others were overpowered by noxious odours from bags of bones. This should be remedied for public health. Notes: Insp of Nuisances. RS: I inspected same at Sussex St North and report that bones and bone dust for which owners of HRNSCo wharf at Lime St had been summoned and fined. They removed them for transhipment to Hobart. A notice served to remove without delay, failing which a sommons will be issued today.
