City Surveyor to the Town Clerk advising that a new building at 470 Cleveland Street has encroached on the footway by 5 inches despite a building line being recently provided. He asks if he should proceed. Also attached sketch plans and Minute Papers from City Building Surveyor dated 19th and 26th October 1893. He recommends not pursuing as building is in line with neighbouring buildings and if the step is set back only the piers will encroach but as the correct alignment was given the Council could ask for the building to be demolished..
