The Inspector of Nuisances reported that the burning appeared to have been done at the private tip and recommended that the entrance gates from Randwick Road to that tip be closed and that all refuse, private or otherwise be taken via Dowling Street to the western tip. He also issued instructions for the fires to be extinguished and the papers and refuse to be buried. He is confident such measures would obviate the complaints.
