(Note: re letter - I have the honor to report that Clarence Street is swept with machine brooms three nights per week, also swept by scavengers every morning and all dirt is removed by 6.30am. At 8 oclock am the horse droppings on said street from King to Druitt Streets are swept and are removed by the carters twice each day.
