The subjects of the films include Waratah Spring Festivals, functions held at the Town Hall, special meetings of Council, the Domain Parking Station, Circular Quay, William Street, Hyde Park, elections, Royal visits, cleansing of the City, crèches in Hyde Park, visits by the Lord Mayor interstate and overseas, the Lord Mayors at home and at the Town Hall, the Sapporo Ice Festival, markets, health promotions for children, news reviews, the Exchange Centre prior to demolition, Observatory Hill, Victoria Park, Sesquicentenary celebrations in 1992, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, the excavation of graves underneath the Town Hall in 1991, Chinatown, Riley Street Surry Hills, Kings Cross, Garden Island, and the Town Hall.

The format includes: U-Matic video tapes; Betacam video tapes; and VHS Video tapes.
