The files include correspondence received and sent, minutes of the Executive Board of Sydney Olympics 2000 Bid Limited, promotional material on all of the cities bidding for the Games, reports and briefings, copies of the contract between Council and the Premier of NSW, newspaper clippings, budget papers, overseas trips made by the Lord Mayor, and invitations to events.

The Lord Mayor, Frank Sartor, was Vice-President of the Executive Board of Sydney Olympics 2000 Bid Limited.
