On the left is the Darling Harbour goods railway line with goods wagons in different stages of being unloaded. In the centre is the original Engine Street crossing over Quay Street. Mathew Street intersects with Engine Street and follows the fence line along the railway line past the partially demolished building to Hay Street. On the right opposite Quay Street across Hay Street is Little Quay Street. Brick walls are being built at the lower right. The Ultimo Power Station with the three chimneys is beyond the railway lines and further to the right are two chimneys on the Pyrmont Power Station building.
