On the far left a man in a suit and hat is about to enter a partially visible property that appears to be number 100 Dowling Street. There is a boy on seated on the footpath nearby. Outside of the Brunswick Ham & Beef Shop at number 104 Dowling Street two dogs are waiting at the doorway. There is a row of joined stone houses from numbers 106 to 112 Dowling Street. At number 110, two men are standing beside a child who is sitting in a chair and holding a tambourine like toy and a rod. Next is E H Holmes, Hairdresser and Tobacconist business at 114 Dowling Street, then two houses. At the far right is Mrs Blackwood's grocery store.
