There is a gas lamp post near passage with steps up to Hutton Street which is off Hunt Street in the distance. The terrace house in the centre at number 48 has Chinese characters on the door sign. The house at the far right the is the number 50 and text, 'Bo Sang'. Wexford Street had a large Chinese population and was the first street in the area to be resumed for slum clearance and street widening. It disappeared from 1906 in the construction of a new Wentworth Avenue.
