The Trustees of the Anzac Memorial Building write to the Council to consider permanent flood lighting of the Anzac Memorial as well during the Coronation celebrations. The Council responds it had no power to do so, but recommended referral to Central Committee of the Coronation Celebrations and the Decorations Public Buildings Sub-Committee. Further details provided of work and costs required, including removal of a fig and a pine tree, restoration of footpath, equipment such as cables and poles, and seven plans.

Plans include:
- 3 x 'Steel Tube Standard' blueprint drawings, Specification E273/37, Items 1, 2/3, and 4, from the Australian General Electric Ltd Lighting Department.
- Plan of 'City of Sydney Hyde Park: Positions of lamps in the vicinity of Anzac Memorial' from the City Engineer, dated 18 March 1937.
- Plan of 'Coronation Celebrations Decorations Anzac Memorial : Outline of adjacent park and location of flood lighting standards', signed by Government Architect April 1937.
- Plan of 'Anzac Memorial Permanent Floodlighting', by Department of Works and Local Government, Government Architects Branch, dated 21 October 1937.
