Notation: Notice to rescind carried. Appended: Letter from WH Catlett, Secretary, NSW Zoological Society requesting rescission of Council's resolution as it is the Society's view that removal of the fence would seriously affect the arrangement of the Gardens and destroy their beauty; viz one third of the grounds would be lost including the deer paddocks, the cassowary, marmot and Coyper? Rat? enclosures, the belfry, entrance & exit turnstiles, Board Room and Office, Plant House and the asphalt walk; also affected would be the Elephant Walk and the cost to the Society would be great and unaffordable at present.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
