Isaac Aaron, Officer of Health asks that an accompanying letter be placed before the Municipal Council concerning the Inquest of a woman who died at 53 Harrington Street. The verdict said she died of intemperance accelerated by the unwholesome condition of her dwelling. The Officer had visited the premises previously and his report stated the premises were unfit for habitation and he expected the Council to act on this. The building is the property of the present Attorney General the Honourable James Martin. He quotes Clause 20 of the Sydney Sewerage Act and asks that Council puts him in a position to act or provide the means necessary for paying for the services of a second medical practitioner.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
