Frequent complaints of filthy state of gutter in Little Macquarie St. It is about 20ft wide with a rough surface gutter on western side. An underground drain exclusively for drainage of houses on Eastern side. Nuisance arises from rear of houses facing Hyde Park into the open gutter instead of the underground pipe. Recommend trapped gully at upper end of street and connect to the pipe, gutter to be repaired where stagnant water collects at cost £20.
