He has discovered errors in the pay sheets in connection with the Inspector of Nuisances Department, and implies that this is because they no longer follow a system he had previously implemented. There is a report by Inspector of Nuisances, Richard Seymour that they are clerical errors of the times given by the overseers to Mr Buchanan, and were detected by the Overseers themselves at the Pay Table as not corresponding to their own time books. Some employees were allowed additional time by the ex-Mayor for working on Christmas Day.
