He writes on behalf of Mr Slingsby, the contractor for the erection of shops in George Street West opposite St Benedicts Church, calling attention to the dangerous state of the telegraph pole opposite the works, resulting from storm water not draining away properly. There is a report by R W Richards, City Surveyor, that work for better provision of storm water will proceed. There is a copy of a letter from Richards to Slingsby, where he writes that expenses for repairing Corporation property damaged by persons in Slingsby's employ will be claimed from him.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
