(Note: 8/1/91 Ack. Inspector of Nuisances: HJD;7/1/91. Received 8/1/91: RS. With reference to Mr Obrien's complaint against carter No 78. I have the honor to report that I have made strict inquiry into the matter and find that instead of placing the refuse on the kerb stones in the usual manner. Mr OBrien had it fastened within the entrance to the side door of his premises, that he accosted the carter in a very insulting and abusive manner, that said carter expressed a willingness to remove the refuse if he could get easy access to it, but did not utter any improper word. The chief ganger Mr Mulligan and the subganger Mr Madden both give the man an excellent character as a workman. that his conduct is strictly moral, and altho' but a driver, his antecedents are respectable: RS;12/1/91) LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
