Since he last wrote two years ago about the wood blocks of Pitt Street in front of the theatre, he has expended a considerable sum in top dressing the surface, to remove the nuisance to the thousands of citizens each week attending the theatre. The desired effect has not been achieved, and he asks that the blocks be raised and relaid with a close joint similar to work which is to be done in George Street in front of the Town Hall. There is report by R W Richards, City Surveyor that the work be carried out for 160 feet northerly from Market Street by Clark and Company.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
