Unique IDAG-0033DescriptionThis Committee was appointed on 7 April 1987 by the Commissioners who had replaced the elected Council under the City of Sydney Act 1987. The Committee was responsible for departmental maintenance, street construction and drainage, cleansing, fruit barrows, the Moore Street parking area, and licensing of footways in conjunction with outdoor eateries.

It was abolished when the Commissioners were replaced by an elected Council under the City of Sydney Act 1988. This Act divided the Council into Sydney City Council and South Sydney City Council and defined their respective boundaries.
