At the far left is Giraud Leonard confectionery works at number 243 Castlereagh Street Sydney. The two storey laundry shop with painted sandstone and slate roof and skylight at 241 Castlereagh Street Sydney has a Chinese laundry. Hopper windows on the right are slightly open but lower windows are boarded up. At the far right is a building located at numbers 237 to 239 Castlereagh Street which is Forssbergh Furniture store (previously Beard and Company furniture and upholsters). It has arched wooden double doors with painted partially visible sign, '..urning Ban ..ret Cut.. on Hortest no'. There a posters and signs for Log Cabin and Old Times tobacco, dancing (possibly for dance school at 233 Castlereagh), Havelock, and Siren soap.
