Arched lower windows and verandah left enclosed with pike and rail fence. Three children sit in window centre as others pose and a little girl sits on the kerb and dogs on the footpath. Two handcarts lie in the gutter and another on the footpath. Beside a freshly staked sapling which is protected by a wood and chicken wire screen stands a youth in a boater.
