Norton, solicitor, acting on behalf of the Directors of the Australasian Colonial and General Life Assurance and Annuity Company, who had tendered for debentures but subsequently, after acceptance of their tender, requested information relating to Corporation revenues and debt. After conference with the City Solicitor and the Finance Committee and their refusal to provide the information, the company withdrew its tender. Finance Committee now recommended inviting fresh tenders. Appended: Memo Town Clerk to Finance Committee; letters J.
