Edward Bell, City Engineer submitting a list of books and papers which were not included in the list handed over to Mr Alderman Smithers by Mr Baron, City Surveyor. He states that without the observation books for the Pyrmont and Chippendale districts and other papers it is impossible to lay down a correct plan of the triangulation of the City. Two other memos from Edward Bell dated 29th August 1857 and 12th September 1857 are attached. A memo from the Mayor's Office is also attached. It states Mr Bell and Mr Baron have been requested to attend upon the Improvement Committee on Tuesday and Friday next at 4pm to assist with the Committee's investigation of this matter.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
