City Solicitor caused an information to be filed against Messrs. Thompson & Symonds of George Street for a breach of the Alignment Act. He calls attention to the matter as the Magistrate's opinion was of more than ordinary importance to the Municipal Council. In stating his case he found differences exist between planned distances and actual distances. The Magistrate decided there was no encroachment since kerbstones were not laid in accordance with the provisions of the Act and the street was more than the proclaimed breadth.
