He reports that water is laid on to every part of the place but suggests that salt water be used instead of fresh for washing out the slaughter houses. He reports there is an engine on the premises used for that particular purpose. He also suggests that vessels for receiving pieces of fat and scraps appear never to have been cleaned and should be cleaned first with water and then with hot lime and he recommends this process should also be used to cleanse the vessels used for removing the blood and the tanks into which the blood flows when slaughtering is proceeding.
